Teaching Chomper to swim

I was havng a TV Series episode where Chomper would ask Ducky to teach him how to swim.    Of course, his small arms would be  a hindrance but eventually he'd find some way to compensate for that.   However, I'm not sure what that would be.   Have any ideas?
