Should Petrie's Mom kill anyone?

I had it in a LBT 15 final battle where Petrie's mom ultimately killed the evil Sharp Beak Queen.   However, do you think that it's out of character for her to actually kill someone.  (Note, it was self-defense/defending the life of another.  It wasn't just "Today I feel like killing the Sharp Beak Queen."
