Ok, these two are the ony interspecies Sharptooth alliance other than Red Claw, Screech, and Thud but in the case of those three, Red Claw is the clear leader whereas Dil and Ichy seem to be equals in their alliance.
The strange thing about Dil and Ichy is that they seem smarter than your average Sharptooth. For one, they seem really competent against the Gang. Their greatness weakness is their inability to work togehter well. If they ever fix that, those two will definitely be deadly.
Also, they can talk too. That's apparently rare. (Chomper was the first Talking Sharptooth the Old One ever met and she's been around longer than Thicknose I bet.)
So, let me get to what I'm aiming at:
Do you think that the similarities between these three are just plain coincidence: (i..e ability to talk and above avergae intelligence for your LBT Sharptooth) or is it more than that?
Indeed, do you think that Ichy may once have been a Friendly Sharptooth? He refers to the Gang as animals. While this may just be coincidence, I am wondering if it's a way to dehumanize them and that he may once have been like Chomper and friends with herbivores, but one day, something went wrong and he turned into a Flattooth killer and now Ichy is convincing himself that Flatteeth are animals so that he doesn't feel guilty killing them?
What is your take on Dil, Ichy, and Chomper?
