Tickles is the first named mammal in The Land Before Time film series. He was so named because he, in Ducky's words, had "tickly fuzzies all over him." He appears in The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists. He is very intelligent and very brave, but unable to speak except through high-pitched squeaks, which are translated via his body language. His mute but brave nature makes him very relatable to Spike. He is one of many dozens of mammals that came to the Land of Mists after heavy rainfall turned the area into an eerie marshland. Because the mammals were strange to the local dinosaurs, they were feared, and also would eat the dinosaurs' food. They were one of several reasons the dinosaurs left the area.
He met the Gang in the cave by the Land of Mists entrance after the fight with Ichy and Dil and, after they said goodbye to him, he went back to his home in the Land of Mists.

- It's theorized that Tickles may be a Megazostrodon. However, he is depicted with rodent-like incisors, while Megazostrodon had sharper teeth due to its carnivorous diet.
