Spiketail is the Land Before Time term for the dinosaur Stegosaurus, and probably other stegosaurs such as Kentrosaurus. Spike is the main Spiketail in the series. There is also a migrating herd of Spiketails seen in The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze and The Forbidden Friendship. The only child seen in this herd is Tippy. They are shown to have enormous appetites and are not as intelligent as other dinosaurs, but are usually very loyal and brave.
