Many minor Sharpteeth appear throughout the series. Most of them do not add anything to the plot, and most of them only appear in the opening narrations of the films. Very few of them interact with Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, Ruby or any other important characters.
The Land Before Time[]
Pike[]
A Swimming Sharptooth, identified as a "giant prehistoric pike" in a script,[1] makes an appearance in the opening narration of The Land Before Time.
It is seen sleeping behind some rocks. However, when a salamander swims in front of its face, it wakes up an attempts to eat the little amphibian. Fortunately for the salamander, it misses, and its intended quarry quickly swims off.
Sail-backed creature[]
A predatory sail-backed creature makes a small appearance in The Land Before Time. It bears a strong resemblance to a Dimetrodon.
It briefly appears as a minor threat to Littlefoot and Ducky, who hide behind a tree when they sense its presence. As a result, the creature passes by without noticing them. It is not seen again for the rest of the film.
The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure[]
Sharptooth[]
A Sharptooth appears very briefly in The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure. He is most likely male, as he possesses the same color scheme as other adult male tyrannosaurs from the first few films in the series. He lives out in the Mysterious Beyond, and is not allowed inside the Great Valley due to his predatory (but instinctive) behavior.
He only appears in the opening narration of the film, walking through the forest before turning to face the viewer and roaring. The camera then fades away from him and shows a shot of the Great Valley.
Some fans think he may be Chomper's father, as he looks identical to him.
Serpent[]
A slender, reptilian creature briefly appears in The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure, among the skeletons and mire of the Mysterious Beyonds.
The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving[]
Quilled Sharpteeth[]
A pack of relatively small, quilled Sharpteeth appear in The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving. They are only seen in the opening narration of the film. One of them is sitting next to a pond before a second individual arrives. Afterwards, they and a third individual leave the pond and go running off into a nearby forest.
Quilled Fast Biters[]
A pair of Fast Biters with quills, one blue and the other green, appear during the opening narration of the third movie. Though they appear almost immediately after the above-mentioned quilled Sharpteeth, they bear distinct designs from the other quilled predators in III's opening narration. A script for the movie pinpoints them as Daspletosaurus, though this is very poorly reflected by the final movie, which depicts them as Dromaeosaurus- or Deinonychus-like animals.
Their brief scene entails the blue raptor circling a lone, cornered threehorn. While the ceratopsid is harried by the blue one, the green one appears to its left, snarling and leaping at its prey. The scene fades out before the outcome of the fight can play out.

The Land Before Time IV: Journey through the Mists[]
Swimming Sharpteeth[]
A couple of marine Sharpteeth appear back to back adjacent to the opening narration of The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists. One is depicted particularly briefly, and only from a close-up view of some of its head, neck and torso, while the the second is shown leaping out of the ocean.
Sharptooth[]
A more standard Sharptooth appears in the movie's opening narration. It lives in the Mysterious Beyond, just like most other sharpteeth. It is presumably a male, judging by its dark coloring in a pre-VII film.
It is shown pursuing a flock of small, herbivorous dinosaurs.
The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island[]
Sharptooth[]
A Sharptooth, likely a female judging by her coloration, appears in The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island during the opening narration. She lives in the Mysterious Beyond, a place filled with danger.
During a fight between two Hollowhorns over some plants, the Sharptooth interrupts their dispute with a roar, and starts to move closer to them in a red sky, roaring, until she walks into the screen, making it go black. It is likely that her hunt was successful, as the narrator says "And sometimes, becoming a meal - themselves."
Some fans think that she may be Chomper's mother, as they look identical to each other.
The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze[]
Small Sharptooth[]
A very small Sharptooth appears in the opening narration of The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze.
It is first seen emerging from a stand of bushes, and narrowly avoiding being crushed by a longneck. After escaping the sauropods, it perches on the snout of a Sharptooth; the same Sharptooth as the one later on in the film; who soon wakes up and begins to chase it. It is able to escape from the Sharptooth when it turns its attention to a small dinosaur in a tree. After this, it isn't seen again.
The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration[]
Sharptooth[]
A Sharptooth appears in the opening narration of The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration, locked in combat with Apatosaurus. The Sharptooth attempts to bite the Longneck, but is knocked back by a lash of the sauropod's tail. The predator shakes off the hit and resumes the battle, unfazed.
Small Sharpteeth[]
Some very small Sharpteeth, similar in appearance to the one in VIII but colored green instead of blue and purple, appear in Cera's dream sequence in X. They are a few of the many residents of the Great Valley who hail Littlefoot as a hero after he returns home from "saving the world".
The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends[]
Fast Biters[]
A vast number of Fast Biters appear in the opening narration of The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends, fleeing from a larger Sharptooth. Fortunately, while the Sharptooth does chase and bite at them, they all manage to escape unharmed.
Sharptooth[]
A Sharptooth appears in the opening narration of XIII, chasing the a large group of Fast Biters. He nearly bites one, but misses, before stopping to sniff the air for other prey. A small lizard nearby hides from him, as he sniffs and growls near it, but he does not find the lizard, and leaves the area. After the tyrannosaur leaves, the lizard reveals itself and squeals.

Stampeding Fast Biters[]

— Chomper spotting the stampede
|
A pack of Fast Biters appear in "The Lonely Journey".
During the events of the episode, Chomper, who has tasked himself with trying to make the Sharpteeth of the Mysterious Beyond "friendly", notices this pack stampeding past him. He tries to keep up with them and convince them to be friendly, but they run away from him completely. Chomper then wonders what their hurry was, before he sees that they are being chased by Red Claw, causing him to hide, knowing that he can never make Red Claw friendly.
Sharpteeth in Petrie's story[]
Three Sharpteeth appear in "The Spooky Nighttime Adventure", during Petrie's story about the "Great Sharptooth Flyer Grabber". One of them is a Fast Biter, while the other two are a pair of Tyrannosaurus rex[2].
The Fast Biter first appears in Petrie's story at the beginning of the episode, where it is seen running from the two larger Sharpteeth. However, as the dromaeosaur cowers in fear, it is revealed that the tyrannosaurs themselves are running away from an even bigger predator. Suddenly, the "Great Sharptooth Flyer Grabber" swoops down and swallows the two Sharpteeth whole, leaving the bewildered Fast Biter in its wake.
The Fast Biter bears a stark resemblance to Screech, though it has red eyes instead of yellow ones, while the two T. rex resemble Red Claw, but without his scar, damaged eye or namesake trait.
Sail-backed Sharpteeth[]
A pair of Sharpteeth make a brief appearance in the TV series episode "The Hermit of Black Rock". They resemble the dinosaur Spinosaurus, with their long snouts and the sails on their backs. One of the sharpteeth is considerably smaller than their partner and has a comparatively shorter sail.
After Swooper, Petrie, and Guido leave Black Rock, Swooper eventually gets tired and asks if it is safe for him to land and rest. Upon looking down from Swooper's back, Petrie and Guido see the Sharpteeth standing on the ground and looking hungrily up at them. Petrie and Guido wisely tell Swooper to keep on flying.
The Land Before Time XIV: Journey of the Brave[]
Sharptooth[]
A gray Sharptooth makes a small cameo in The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave. It fights a Stegosaurus in the opening of the film, snorting and roaring, before charging. It is then swatted away by the Spiketail, falling to the ground in slow motion. It is unknown who won the battle.
It shares a design with one of the Sharpteeth from The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration.
