An "Egg Stealer" appears in The Land Before Time as a minor antagonist.
History[]
It makes an attempt to steal the egg of Littlefoot, though its attempts are thwarted when his mother takes note of the attempted thievery and whacks the ornithomimid with her head. However, this action briefly sends Littlefoot's egg rolling away, causing it to fall through various areas until it reaches a hole in the ground, where it hatches into Littlefoot.

Trivia[]
- Though the eggstealer is referred to as an Ornithomimus in the script for the movie,[2] very physically similar characters in The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure are explicitly referred to as Struthiomimus.[3]
- It's possible that the reason the two different genera look the same is because the Egg Stealer race was retconned into being Struthiomimus.
